    The British Centres for Business in Dubai is a member of the Overseas Business Network Initiative, created by the British Chambers of Commerce and UK Trade & Investment, working together to create an international business network, providing practical support for UK exporters.

When restrictions were lifted earlier this year there was concern about mass immigration from Romania. It proved to be unfounded, but a surprising new trend has emerged. In increasing numbers, companies from the South are travelling to Romania keen to take advantage of its growing economy. Trade agreements with Hampshire mean businesses in the county are securing lucrative deals that could be worth millions of pounds.

In addition to the 285 subsidy files approved under the „Rabla” Program, another 21 files were accepted for the „Rabla Plus” electric and hybrid segment, announced the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM) in a press release. According to the quoted source, 264 files for 504 vehicles were accepted under the “Rabla Classic” Program, while for „Rabla Plus” 21 files were approved for 82 vehicles, out of which 39 are pure electrical vehicles and 43 are hybrid electric cars, according to Agerpres.

Greenpeace activists boarded a ship arriving in Britain on Thursday to stop a consignment of over 1,000 Volkswagen cars from Germany whilst others sought to immobilise vehicles at a port in anti-diesel protests. VW admitted cheating in diesel emissions tests in 2015, triggering political and consumer pressure which has seen diesel cars sales slump in major markets and politicians around the world announce plans to ban the sale of conventional vehicles, according to Reuters.

The National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) has approved the operation of the spot gas market on the OPCOM stock exchange, shows a press release from the institution. “Today, September 20th, 2017, the meeting of the ANRE Regulatory Committee was held, which approved the procedures that allow the operation of the Day Ahead Market of Natural Gas (PZU-GN), managed by OPCOM.

The continued rise in renewable generation will cause those sources to match coal generation by 2040, according a new international energy outlook from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Coal generation is expected to fall from 40 percent of electrical generation to 31 percent by 2040. Renewable generation is expected to increase by an average of 2.8 percent per year to 31 percent in the same time frame due to technological improvements and government incentives.
