Trade agreements with Hampshire mean businesses in the county are securing lucrative deals that could be worth millions of pounds.

With strong state support, the purchase of electric cars increases exponentially from one year to the next, but remains yet marginal in the national fleet of vehicles. Investments in e-charging infrastructure have multiplied, with European money and with the growing involvement of large multinationals. The future of the energy sector will be more decentralized than now, says Ondrej Safar, Country Manager CEZ Romania, according to Financialintelligence.ro. He said: „The future will be about end consumers. They will become prosumeric because technology will develop. It will be cheaper for them to produce energy alone, to store energy. Thus, the energy sector will change significantly. This is the trend in Europe”. Last year, the company has invested approximately 200 million lei in distribution, and the trend will continue, according to CEZ Romania manager.

OPCOM intends to contribute 20% of the capital of the future Central Counterpart, said Adrian Tanase, general manager of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, according to Financialintelligence.ro. According to him, the CCP (project approved by BVB shareholders) will increase market liquidity, because it will allow the trading of derivative products: „The stock market has an inefficiency in functioning as a secondary market because of the lack of financial instruments. For derivatives, CCP is mandatory at European level.”

E.ON Romania intends to install 400,000 smart meters in the next eight or nine years, with total investments of 135 million lei, of which 45 million lei of European funds, Anca Dragu, deputy general manager of the Company said. „Over the past eight years, approximately 315,000 smart meters have been integrated, with a total investment value of about 127 million lei. For the next eight years, our target is to mount nearly 400,000 meters and the value of these investments would be of 135 million lei,” she said, according to Agerpres.
